200 Scientists and Celebrities Ban together to Address Climate Reform

Who knew the science nerds and the drama kids would come together to compose one very unified and powerful message in an effort to change the world?

Earlier this week, 200 big name actors, musicians and artists, along with science specialists, climatologists and researchers, have signed an open petition letter to world leaders urging them to address the imminent threat of climate change. The letter was published by daily French newspaper, Le Monde.

Among the famous influencers involved are French and American figures such as Alain Delon, Bradley Cooper, Patti Smith, Jane Birkin, Willem Defoe, Jude Law, Ralph Fiennes and Marion Cotillard.

The authors of such a memo? Actress Juliette Binoche and astrophysicist Aurélien Barrau. However, they're not the only Frenchies throwing their hands up in disgust. According to The Independent, the letter followed the provocative resignation of Nicolas Hulot, France’s environment minister, which occurred live on air, during a radio interview, explaining his frustration and disappointment in the lack of French President Macron's discouraging lack of progress on environmental affairs.

As things heat up, literally, from every which way, we'll be waiting and watching to see if change really does come, and whether it's all because of our trusty French friends in the labs and on the big screen.
