Emile is in his seventies; half depressed half into his fishing and fully retired. One day, his fishing friend Edmond passes. Edmond had discretely managed to live life to the full in despite his advanced age, giving Emile inspiration of his own. His subsequent adventures take him on a mini road-trip in his highly striking orange 'car'. It makes him realize that life and its joys, sex included, are far from over and he finds himself temporarily taking up residence in a rural commune, bonding with women and having a grand time.
